Edamame are prepared by harvesting the soybeans before they reach full maturity, when they are still green and tender, by cutting off their ends and boiling or steaming them with a pinch of salt. They can be consumed fresh or cold, often served with soy sauce and ginger. Thanks to their flavor and nutritional qualities, edamame is the favorite appetizer of the “Real Food” movement, which promotes the consumption of real foods and avoids ultra-processed ones.
