What personal data do we process?
As a user of the Manta services, where Manta act as an agent of multiple gift and design brands, we require your personal data to enable us to process orders and provide the service that is expected from our role.
Below is an overview of the personal data we process:
- First and last name
- E-mail address
- Location data
- Telephone numbers
- Personal picture (if you provide this to us)
- Bank account details (if provided, for the processing of payments)
Special and / or sensitive personal data that we process.
Our website and/or service does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are younger than 16 years, unless we have permission from parents or guardians. However, MANTA cannot check if a visitor is older than 16. We encourage parents to be involved in the online activity of their children to prevent data regarding their children being collected without parental consent. If you believe that we have collected personal information about a minor without permission, please contact us via firstname.lastname@example.org and we will delete this information.
For what purpose and on what basis do we process personal data?
According to privacy legislation we need to indicate on what 'legal grounds' we will intend to process your data.

MANTA does not store your personal data for longer than necessary to achieve the purposes of which your data is collected. We use a retention period of 2 years for personal data unless a legal retention period is required for a longer period.

We only pass on your data to further parties if necessary for our services. These parties include: the brands we represent, logistic partners, IT service providers and payment partners.
MANTA will not sell your information to third parties and will only provide this information if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you, or to comply with legal obligations. Where there are companies that process your data within our agreement, we will establish a data processing agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality is maintained for your data. MANTA remains responsible for these processing operations.

What are your rights?

To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID. Hide your passport/ID photo and make the MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), the passport number unreadable in this copy. This is to protect your privacy. We will respond as quickly as possible, within a time period of four weeks, at your request.

Where are your data stored and how is it secured?
We store your data in different databases in Europe. MANTA takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorised access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorised modification.
